Ans: At school in France a boy told him that a person cannot
live above forty-four degrees and he actually had hundred and two degrees of fever.
He was comparing two different thermometers and believed that he would die.
Then his father told him that these were two different thermometers and as
different as miles and kilometers.

behave when he learned that he would not die?
Ans: The boy’s gaze at the foot of the bed relaxed slowly as
soon as he believed he would not die and his hold over himself relaxed as well.
And the next day he was crying easily at little things of very less importance.

does Schatz’s father give for being pleased with his hunting?
Ans: Schatz’s
father killed two quail and missed five. But the conditions around him were so
difficult even for standing or walking, shooting was a difficult task to do but
he still managed to kill two quail that is why he was pleased with his hunting.

Initially we read in the story that the boy
wasn’t able to stop over thinking which ultimately fixed his gaze at the foot
of his bed and as well as he was holding himself tight.
After knowing that he would not die, his gaze
at the foot of the bed relaxed slowly and his hold over himself relaxed as
well.
But the next day he was also crying easily at
little things of very less importance.
