Carlos Alcaraz wins Barcelon Open after beating Pablo Carreno Busta
Carlos Alcaraz has won the Barcelona Open after beating his fellow Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta 6,3, 6,2 to win the straight third title of this year, fourth overall.
This teenager has already announced himself this in the arena this season after winning on hard court in Miami and clay in Rio de Janeiro, Alcaraz saw off Carreno Busta in a swift 65 minutes to complete his successful week in Barcelona.
He highlighted himself as one of the talented emerging young talents in men's tennis on Saturday when he beat the world number five Stefanos Tsitsipas while rain meant a nail-biting semi-final where he thrashed Alex De Minaur, lasting for 223 in three, just before the final before three hours, on Sunday.
Alcaraz was lucky enough to save two match points
to beat De Minaur 6-7 (4/7), 7-6 (7/4), 6-4.

So technically, Carreno Busta should have begun the
final the fresher of the two, after he needed only two sets to see off Argentina's
Diego Schwartzman but Alcaraz outpowered his compatriot to seal a comfortable
win, his first triumph on home soil in Spain.
Alcaraz's remarkable record in the finals made him
as one of the leading contendar as well making him the man of the finals by
wining all four finals which he has played winning eight sets and losing not a
single one.
The
world number eleven, who will gain two spots up to have number nineth spot on
Mondy, lost his third round in the Australian Open in January but certainly he would
be one of to watch in the French Open.
Being an exciting emerging player it would be a treat to watch this emergin teenager for the French Open which will start next month at Roland Garros.
