ANOTHER SUPPORT FOR RONALDO BY FANS IN THE MATCH AGAINST ARSENAL
After the
death of Ronaldo’s newborn baby boy, fans showed intense support to him by
applauding in the seventh minute of the match against Liverpool at Anfield
which Manchester United lost 4-0.
The
action was later acknowledged by Cristiano Ronaldo by saying that he cannot
forget this moment of respect.
Similar
kind of support was witnessed at Emirates stadium where fans showed support to
Ronaldo once again.
The
difference between the last occasion and this one was Ronaldo was playing this
match against Arsenal while he did not play the last match against Liverpool to
stay with his wife in the time of this shocking and intense grief.
But, one
thing to be noted that Manchester United have lost both the matches, they lost
4-0 against Liverpool and 3-1 against Arsenal.
Ronaldo
tried to show some resistance by scoring the only goal from Manchester United
but clearly that was not enough infront of 3 goals scored by Nuno Tavares,
Bukayo Saka and Granit Xhaka who powered Arsenal to 3-1 win and won 3 points
for their team which got them an edge over Manchester United in the race of top
four.
Manchester
United have lost all their hopes after the loss against Arsenal.
According to United interim boss Rangnick
“For me even before that game it was not very likely, but after today's result the top four is gone.”
Ronaldo
hit back within two minutes as he swept home Nemanja
Matic's cross for his 100th Premier League goal.
Arsenal's nerves began to show and United should have been at least level by the time Xhaka fired home the final blow.
Tavares needlessly handled a corner into the Arsenal box on the hour.
