ESSAY ON PAKISTAN SUPER LEAGUE 7 - THE LEARNING ART

 

Pakistan Super League edition 7 which was held during Jan 27, 2022 to Feb 27,2022 in the cities of Lahore and Karachi of Pakistan respectively was a successful major event of Pakistan in which many international cricket stars participated including the likes of Rashid Khan, Jason Roy, Colin Monroe, Alex Hales and many others.

The exciting thing about this year edition of Pakistan Super League was the most popular Franchise of PSL i.e. Lahore Qalandars won the title after a long wait of 7 years under the young captain Shaheen Shah Afridi which was a huge success for them.

We witnessed many good performances in this year of PSL including Muhammad Rizwan who was the captain of Multan Sultan who was declared Man of the Tournament in PSL 7. Othe than Rizwan there are plenty of other names which include Fakhar Zaman who was the top run scorer of the tournament with 588 runs and Shaheen Shah Afridi who was the highest wicket taker of the tournament with 20 wickets to his name.

Multan Sultan were the defending champions in this year PSL and they were the hot favorite team in this tournament who only lost one game during the 10 league matches and made their way to the finals along with Lahore Qalandars but could not hold their nerves in the final and ultimately lost the final to Lahore Qalandars.

On Feb 27, 2022, Qalandars won the toss and elected to bat first and put a fighting total of 180/5 in their 20 overs with Muhammad Hafeez the highest run scorer for them with 69 runs off 46 balls other than that Harry Brook and David Wiese were the prominent names in their batting card that day. Asif Afridi of Multan Sultans was the best bowler with 3/19 in his 4 overs.

In response, Multan Sultan could only manage to score 138/10 in 19.3 overs and fell short of the target. Khushdil Shah was the highest run scorer for them with 32 runs off 23 deliveries. For Qalandars, Shaheen Shah Afridi was the best bowler with the figures of 3/30 in his 4 overs.

This is how the tournament ended with some close encounters which really entertained the crowd with in the stadium and to those who were watching the tournament on television.
