LIFE IN A CITY
The
urban life in any country is known as the life in a city. City life is full of
modern developments, technologies including all the modern facilities. The
education system is better, health system is better than the rural areas where
none of these facilities are properly available.
The
life in a city no doubt is full of all the facilities but it also comes with
the same number of challenges as well. If we have a public transport system then
parallelly its side effects of air pollution, traffic jam and traffic accidents
as well.
If
we have a better education system in cities so the fees are high to afford.
There are renowned hospitals for better medical treatment but a person with
average income cannot afford the expenses of a private hospital. So, all these challenges
are part of a life in a city if the residents of city have a fair number of facilities
as well.
Considering
Karachi as our city, we are going to discuss a few problems out of many which
are as follows:
UNEMPLOYMENT
We
see a number of educated people who are jobless because the competition in the
market is so high due to the increasing numbers of fresh graduates and post
graduates. The people are struggling to earn their bread and butter. Due to the
high competition, the employers don’t pay the aggregate salary to a post
graduate or graduate person according to the rising inflation in the country.
Due to which poverty is increasing day by day and it is difficult to match the
living standards of a city.
RISING PRICES / INFLATION
Because
the economic condition of the country is not good, the inflation rate is very
high and we see the rise in prices every now and then. The expenses of living
in a city are higher than the income. It is a serious issue due to which poor
are getting poorer and rich richer.
OTHER ESSAYS
TRAFFIC
As the
population of Karachi is more than 16.5 Million, so there are a huge number of
people who go to their work daily by using either private transport or public
transport which causes traffic jams at the main roads of Karachi. Traffic jam
is not the only issue the citizens face but due to the smoke released by the
buses, rickshaw and other vehicles the air is also very polluted in Karachi.
Apart from that the rate of road accidents are also very high.
INCREASING CRIME RATE
Due
to the increasing unemployment and worst economical conditions, the crime rate
in Karachi is also very high. The people of Karachi are not safe and we read
the incidents of dacoity, loots and snatching on daily basis in newspapers. Not
only this but the killing rate of innocent people in Karachi is also very high.
The
life is a city specially in Karachi is full of opportunities yet challenging.
