ESSAY ON POLLUTION AND ITS KIND

Pollution means when environment becomes harmful for human beings and other living creatures on the earth.

In other words, the presence of harmful substances in the air, land, or water, which can have an adverse effect on living beings.

Kinds of Pollution

The three major types of pollutions are air pollution, water pollution and air pollution. Pollution can be a cause of excessive human activities as well as natural activities.

Air Pollution

Air pollution is a result of any chemical, physical or biological activity that modifies the natural characteristics of the atmosphere.

It can further happen due to household combustion devices, vehicles, industrial activities and forest fires.

Household combustion devices, motor vehicles, industrial facilities and forest fires are common sources of air pollution.

According to WHO almost seven million people die due to air pollution every year

Water Pollution

When water become unusable for drinking, cooking, cleaning and swimming due to inclusion of harmful substances in it is known as water pollution.

These harmful substances may include chemicals, garbage / trash, leakage and spills of oil and other kinds of bacteria which cause water pollution.

Water pollution causes, lack of clean drinking water, loss of aquatic creatures, crop damages and increased rates of waterborne diseases.

Land Pollution

Land pollution is the destruction of earth’s surface and soil. If an agricultural land is getting less agricultural, is due to land pollution. The causes are again the human activities, industries, chemical waste etc. The inclusion of chemicals and other man-made substances in the soil make the soil less fertile or unfertile for agricultural purpose.

Other problems faced due to land pollution include climate change, increase in wildfires due to polluted areas become dry, water of polluted land is not safe for drinking etc.

Pollution has become a serious problem on our earth, and the increasing numbers of man’s industrial activities and other scientifical inventions every now and then are making it even worse. And the life of human being is always at risk.
