Cricket is the most popular sport in Pakistan. It is not only a game for the people of Pakistan but emotions. The nation become happy when Pakistan Cricket Team win and sad as well when they lose a match. If it is said that the people of Pakistan are crazy about cricket, it will not be wrong to say.

Pakistan have produced many world class players since the induction of Pakistan Team in to international arena. We have seen many players like Fazal Mehmood, Zaheer Abbas, Javed Miandad, Wasim Akram, Saeed Anwar and many more.

But modern day cricket has been changed. Since the introduction of T20 format in the game, the cricket has become so fast. And from modern day cricket my favorite cricketer is Babar Azam.

Babar Azam is a batsman that Pakistan has never produced and his stats tell us this. In this modern day cricket, he is the number one T20 and ODI batsman and number five Test batsman in the world. Currently, the only batsman who fall in the top five across the formats of the game.

Babar Azam was born on October 15, 1994 in Lahore, Punjab and he is a right hand batsman. He has played 40 Test matches so far and in 71 innings he has scored 2851 run with an average of 45.98 with 6 centuries and 21 half-centuries.

Apart from that, he has played 86 One Day Internationals and in 84 innings he has scored 4261 runs with an average of 59.18 with 16 centuries and 18 half-centuries. And he is also the fastest to 16 centuries in One Day Internationals.

In T20Is, in 69 innings he has scored 2686 runs with an average of 45.52 having 1 century and 26 half-centuries under his name.

Currently, he is the best batsman in the world especially in the shorter formats of the game. He is compared with the greats of the games like Virat Kohli, and people also say that he is better than Virat Kohli. And the time will tell us when he would play as number of innings as Virat Kohli has played. If he remains this much consistent, then surely he is going to beat Virat Kohli and many other greats of the game.
